ArtsWorcester members are invited to submit to Still, a juried exhibition of still lifes. More than just a pile of stuff, still lifes explore small moments of daily life, cultural objects and practices, and even the biggest questions of life and mortality.

ArtsWorcester seeks submissions of still lifes in all mediums, themes, and styles, from traditional to reimagined.

This is a juried exhibition, meaning that the juror will consider all eligible submissions and select some artworks to be shown at ArtsWorcester. All artist members may submit up to three pieces for consideration. Submission is free for ArtsWorcester members, and membership to ArtsWorcester is required. All media are welcome, including but not limited to painting, sculpture, photography, fiber, fine craft, digital art, and video.

Still will be juried by Rachel Passannante, Assistant Director and Collections Manager, Danforth Art Museum. Rachel joined the Danforth Art Museum in 2019, where she oversees the permanent collection, including managing and researching the nearly 400 works by sculptor Meta V.W. Fuller. Rachel also handles the artwork for and the curating of exhibitions, including the annual Juried Exhibition and permanent collection exhibitions. Previous to Danforth, Rachel worked at the American Independence Museum in Exeter, New Hampshire as the Collections and Visitor Services Manager. She has a Masters in Material Culture Studies from the University of Sheffield in England and a B.A. in Archaeology with minors in Museum Studies and Geology from SUNY Potsdam in upstate New York.
